According to the latest analysis of the US furniture market, revenues from the sector are expected to hit $263.2 billion in 2024, following a 3.7% annual rise from the previous year. This rate of increase is less than half of the previous year’s, which was recorded at 7.9%. 

Despite the slowdown, the increase in revenues suggests a healthy expansion of the industry, which has been growing annually since at least 2018. That year, total revenues were $187 billion. A 5.2% growth the following year saw this figure rise to $196.7 billion, before a 7.4% increase in 2020 brought revenues past the $200 billion mark for the first time.

In 2021, the furniture market in the US saw revenues rise by 9%, the biggest yearly increase expected between 2018 and 2029. More impressively, the sector continued on its growth path in 2022, climbing by 2.1%, even as the global furniture market saw revenues fall by 2.3%. Annual growth rates more than tripled from 2022 to 2023, which brought total revenue for the year to $253.8 billion.
