According to the latest data on YouTube age demographics, as many as 21.7% of all YouTube users are adults aged from 25 to 34. This can be broken down into 9.7% females and 12% males. This is also the age group with the highest number of YouTube users. 

The second-largest age group is 35 to 44, with 18.5% of YouTube users in this range. Similar to the 25-to-34 age group, there are more male users (10.1%) than females (8.4%). Together, these two biggest age demographics of YouTube users make up 40.2% of the total. In other words, more than one out of every three users of YouTube are between the ages of 25 and 44.

The high usage of YouTube among adults makes it a good platform for businesses with a target audience in this age range to market to. Whether it’s running paid ads on channels frequented by your buyers, collaborating with YouTube influencers, or publishing your own videos to market your brand and product, including YouTube in your video marketing strategy is an effective way to grow your brand.

The data analyzing YouTube age demographics also shows that the platform is relatively popular among young adults. In fact, 15.8% of all YouTube users are from 18 to 24 years old, with also more males than females making up this age group.

According to the breakdown of YouTube users by age, the platform isn’t frequented as much by older consumers. Just 14% of YouTube users are aged 45 to 54. Two oldest age groups, 55 to 64 and 65 and above, make up 19.4% of all YouTube users.
